Halo Padang

And they say that life is series of choices. I might disagree with that, but i already made the choice that now lead me to move out to Padang. The friggin capital city of West Sumatra. Sumatra. Su. Ma. Tra.
Do i have a say? Yes yes, some people in HR said so. They gave us this spread, some kind of form that lead us to believe that we have a say in our next transfer. So i wrote Medan, Lampung, dan Palembang as my Sumatran choices. And then i end up in Padang.
But then again, i have to be thankful because some of my friends end up in...much lonelier city. No mall. No cafe. No Pizza Hut. No KFC.

Am i sad? i safely say, that no, im not sad. Well, there were a liiiiiittle breakdown. But then i put on my big girl panties and all problems are solved. After all, i was the one who made a choice to work as one of auditors in so called supreme audit board. B friggin PK.
Excuse my ramblings, dear readers, i may sound like a babbling, bumbling band of baboons  (Hi, Fred and George!), and yeah i was bit pissed but all is right in the world of Viona Putri Siltavia.

Ok, Padang it is.
What can i say about Padang? Well, there are foods. There is this gulai lontong in my office's canteen that is so good i eat it 5 days in a row in my first week. Martabak Kubang. and dont get me start at the sinful Es Duren Gantinamo, oh you, a bowl of frozen devil, you. And then Nasi Padang, of kors.
But my dear friend, im sorry that im unable to broaden the adventure of Padang outside the terms of food, because this yours truly does nothing but veg out these days. Veg out. As in "Oh, look at that.. bed. Let's lie." and read. Nothing new.

But i do have this awesome room. With wooden floor, shower, wifi, red brick wall, big window, located in second floor, AC, nice queen size bed.... and those gigas of books... so, all is right, all is right.
Until i have another interesting things to tell, toodles from Padang!!

You know West Sumatra has some of the most beautiful beaches and island, don't you? At least try Mentawai. And gulai, coconut milk, not nice.

Uh, Mentawai has their own unique tattoo culture. You should check them out. Or maybe have one on you. Just maybe.
